Our Achievements

ARDS has so far successfully finalized more than 600 contracts since its inception and was instrumental in creating the Procurement Law which was enacted in October 2005. In addition, a large number of Procurement Liaison Officers have been trained on procurement procedures many of whom have been able to find more lucrative offers after gaining sufficient expertise in ARDS. In their place, new PLO’s are regularly recruited and imparted on the job training.

ARDS PU is also guiding, assisting and training staff of Line Ministries in ongoing procurement process to enable the ministries in discharging their responsibilities more effectively. More than 200 staff of Line Ministries has been given class room training on Procurement Law and World Bank Procedures.

The dedicated team of ARDS continually strives to give its best and improve the quality of services being rendered to Line Ministries and Entities and keeping this in view, ARDS PU decided to adopt Quality Management System based on ISO 9001:2000. After concerted efforts and development of ISOrelated documents and putting in place the requisite Quality management System,ARDS PU received ISO 9001:2000 certification on November 19, 2006. This is first ever ISO certification in Afghanistan to any private or government entity.

ARDS has developed a user- friendly website which displays all business opportunities on web. It also provides facility to users for downloading of bidding and other documents including minutes of meeting, amendments, clarifications and modifications etc directly from the web site. Users are able to register themselves on line. These features have been appreciated by the users.
